Should I bring breastfeeding pillow to hospital?

Hospital is an hour from home and I was told they have a two day stay as standard.

I used my Boppy pillow the whole time I nursed my first (14 months) I didn’t think to bring it when I delivered but I wished I did they have extra pillows sure but the boppy was so much easier to handle plan on bringing it when I go into labor with this one. Also don’t be afraid to ring the call light everytime you want to nurse for help . I’m a firm believer in the two days we stayed in the hospital calling and asking for help taught me something new everytime and reassured me I was doing the right thing. Which in the long run made us successful in nursing for so long. Good luck momma. Also if your hospital has a nursing class I suggest that as well if this is the first time nursing and bring the dad . It opened my husbands eyes on what his “role” (being supportive, bringing you things you need, what to expect ,etc) was to be a successful is breastfeeding

I was told during our labor and delivery tour that we should bring extra pillows because all the extra pillows in that department get snagged up quick.... so extra regular pillows, pregnancy pillows, or even breastfeeding pillows

I personally did not like the boppy. My breast friend is a fantastic pillow! It’s literally like a table for your baby lol and I’m a lactation consultant now and that’s what I recommend to all my moms

I heard a nurse say bring it and leave it in the car, and then have your partner go get it if you decide you need it.

Yes yes yes yes and another yes I found I really needed it and hubby had to go home n get it for us that pillow was my bestfriend for like 6 months

I didn’t breastfeed but we had a boppy to give our arms a break and it was a lifesaver. Definitely bring it!

I loved having my boppy pillow with us! If they have a lactation consultant at the hospital.. of a knowledgeable nurse they will be there to show you different techniques and help you get baby latched. Prepare yourself for someone that will probably grab your boob and move it around 😂 that aside, mine stressed me out so after she left I got my pillow and we both relaxed and we found our comfy position.

I didn't even think of this with number 1. I didn't get a good latch until football hold. You can use the hospital pillows but boppys are much easier
