Ranitidine recalled😭😭?? Baby Zantac for acid reflux

I called my pharmacy but they said it’s only the over the counter for adults and I asked if it was still safe for my baby to take and she said yes🙃 is anyone else still giving it to their baby????
I don’t want any small possibility of him getting cancer because they said they found low levels of carcinogens in Zantac. But I haven’t seen about the baby Zantac!!!

My pediatrician told me it was just over the counter meds, that I can continue to use it. Buutttt to be honest my babies reflux doesn’t bother her anymore so o just stopped using it. I’m not willing to take any chances.

My doc said it was only the tablet form, not the liquid form that babies use. She also double checked with the pharmacy to make sure the liquid kind that she prescribed us does not have the compound that is cancerous. It has made my baby so much more comfortable!

All ranitidine was recalled here :/ the pharmacy just gave us a different medicine called Prevacid suspension for little man.

I still use it. I was told the same thing the other day and the ped offered to switch her to something else but honestly I trust the doctors and pharmacists and the Zantac has helped SO much with her reflux, so I'm not willing to take her off it unless there's a recall on the prescriptions as well.

I actually called their pediatrician and he basically said the same thing the pharmacist told  you. I still give it to my kids 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
I wanted to change it but he said to keep them on it soooo...
