ITCH?!

I have a intense itch downstairs (I’m 1 week and a few days PP) I had a third degree tear. The itch is near my clit and the top of my vagina crack. It’s INTENSE. And I was rubbing it because it was driving me nuts sooooo badly. And now it feels like little paper cuts but still ITCHES. I used the hospital itch spray but it’s not working!!! God help me!! 😣😫

I had the same thing with my 3rd degree tears. In basically the same spot. It was awful and worse than any of the pain that I had with my stitches. The only thing that helped me was cold cold cloths and I would sit with it on the stitches, and earth mama perineal spray. Sitz baths also made it worse immediately, but better long term. And I’d sometimes put coconut oil on the stitches as well because they felt kind of dry and itchy (who knows?). 
I just assumed it was normal and stuck it out and then chatted with my OB at my 6 week appointment when it was done and she basically gave me shit for not calling her because she said some people have adverse reactions to the stitches. That being said, I’m not sure what she would have done.

Same girl and I am 12 weeks postpartum 😬 I say I itched horrible for several weeks, I had a second degree tear. The itch isn’t much anymore I think it’s our skin going back to normal from being all stretched out and it just itches

My c section scar is still itching and I’m 14 weeks PP, it sounds normal to me. Just spray water on it or you could ask your OB what else you could do

I basically got a diaper rash from having to wear a pad for so long. Dip into baby’s diaper cream stash & if that doesn’t help I’d contact your OB.

Contact your ob.  It could be healing or it could be yeast from all the hormonal changes going on and bleeding/pads.
