Which smart watch is better?

I'm looking to get my husband a smart watch for Christmas. He used to have a regular Fitbit but lost it during our move to California. I cant decide between the Fitbit Versa or the Apple watch series 3 (GPS). What are your experiences with either one of these? Which would be best for tracking sleep, working out and getting texts. What do you bot like about them TIA

I’ve had my Fitbit Versa for about 5 months and I love it!!
The sleep and heart rate tracking is super accurate and helpful and the workout modes are fun!
It’s pretty good with getting texts, but you have to be close-ish to your phone and on Bluetooth.
The thing I like best is the Fitbit support! I’ve only had one issue and they were so fast and helpful with resolving my problem!
