Okay so I have a few questions regarding divorce. My brother is in basic training. He’s been married for 2 almost 3 years but when he enlisted his wife told him she’d leave him if he went into the army. Becoming a soldier had been his dream since he was 15 so he decided to go hoping she’d stick by him. She moved out of their apartment and hasn’t been around since a month before he left. He’s crushed but wants the divorce as soon as he gets back. He asked me to start looking for lawyers but idk if I should contact a regular lawyer or it has to be a military lawyer? Also does anyone have experience with this? Did it take long does he have to give her alimony? Is she entitled to any of his pay since he’s getting BAH? He’s having a hard time at basic and just wants answers 😓
