Pee smell out of clothes

Hey ladies my son has a very bad bed wetting problem & his clothes always smell of pee !

Even after washing them I put a whole cap of laundry detergent (one and a half just to be sure sometimes) & wash with hot water sometimes I even run it twice but even with that it’ll still smell a little 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ve even tried washing his clothes soon after he takes them off & nothing

Any tips on how to keep his clothes from smelling like pee ??

And if you can also give me tips on how to improve his bed wetting that’d be great !

We’ve tried cutting his liquid intake early, having him go to the bathroom before bed I even started having him go every 30 minutes up until bed time we’ve tried waking him once thru the night to pee some of those night I would come to wake him just to see he had already peed 😑

And t’s not a little pee it’s a lot ! Every time he goes it’s a lot not just a little bit which is more frustrating I have him shower every single morning it’s become a routine if I don’t let him shower he smells of pee...

I’m constantly having to wash sheets, blankets and clothes & yes we have a mattress protector on his bed & we’ve also tried night underwear for big kids but I feel like it just feeds into his habit. He’s 9 and we’ve read that bed wetting could be hereditary my brother was a bed wetter I think till the age of 10 I’m at a loss I don’t know what else I can do to help him
