Starting IUI

Good morning everyone.

So my husband and I recently had an appointment with my dr and he suggested since we haven’t been able to conceive again since our miscarriage last December that we should consider looking at trying

IUI

or

IVF

. We are leaning towards

IUI

due to cost and because it’s considerably less invasive for me.

My question is those who have gone through it what sort of things should I expect? I’ve done a lot of reading on it but I would like to get some first hand experience from you guys? Were you able to conceive quickly? What did you do if anything to prepare yourself for it? Did you have to take any kinds of medication?

We have unexplained infertility (all tests have come back normal; HSG, blood tests, semen analysis)

If anyone can give me any type of advice I would appreciate it.
