Measuring Ahead?

Anyone else measuring ahead 4 weeks? My doctor scheduled a growth ultrasound in a couple weeks. Just curious what your experience was.

I’m 31 weeks and baby is measuring 5 pounds. Which is 4-5 weeks ahead!

My last appointment I was measuring 3 weeks ahead. Hoping when I go back in a few weeks things have evened out a bit.

I’m currently measuring normal but I anticipate I will soon be measuring ahead. 
My last pregnancy I measured normal till the last like 6 weeks or so and out of nowhere I was measuring 3+ weeks ahead. For a minute they thought it was because I had GD but my sugars were very well maintained that they think it was just genetics. My husband is a tall and big guy and my daughters now one and is still in the higher percentiles.

How does your dr know you’re measuring ahead? Just by measuring your stomach?

I guess I should add I’ve had two other baby girls both very average in size 7lbs and 7.4lbs. So I’m scratching my head like can this baby really be big?! Lol
