Fluid in kidneys?

Question

Had my 21 week ultrasound and said my little boy has a little fluid in his kidneys. They said it was most common in boys and that it’s nothing to worry about but of course I’m over here worried and researching lol. Has anyone else ever heard of this or what?!

I was told this about a month ago and I'm also having a boy but the doctor said it will eventually go away by the third trimester

Just found this post because I have been told my little girl had fluid in one of her kidneys. Looking for some reassurance

My first born had the same thing, his kidney ended up swelling a bit as well, but later the swelling went down on it’s own. She told me that when they’re practicing breathing sometimes the amniotic fluid can irritate their kidney’s. I had no clue though that it was more common in boys. That’s neat.

Just had my 24 week scan and they said the same thing about my little boy. They told me not worry about it either, but being a first time mom how can I not? I’ve been researching too and a lot of people are saying it resolves itself. Do you have any updates on yours? Glad I’m not the only unnecessary worried momma here!
