Flu shot thoughts?

I am so lost. We are having flu shots at work tomorrow and I was going to get one but now idk. I started reading that there were some studies that showed higher risk of complications for those who got a second flu shot meaning first one last year and second time this year while pregnant. I got my first ever flu shot last year and now I’m scared. I never had the flu and (maybe when I was kid). I feel like I’m risking it either way! Help!

I got my flu shot last week at 12w pregnant. I was very hesitant at getting one and wasn’t going too, but after alot of reading and asking recently pregnant friends, I decided it was in my and the baby’s best interest. My work was also bringing in someone for the flu vaccine, so they made it very convenient. I didn’t have any side effects, not even a sore arm. Had my 12w ultrasound later that week and baby was having a dance party on ultrasound and healthy. 
A reason I decided on getting the flu shot was a coworker lost her pregnant sister bc she came down with the flu and was hospitalized. She nor the baby made it. Our immune systems are suppressed during pregnancy and an preventative measures help ❤️

I work at the hospital, we are required to get a flu shot or we have to wear a mask for all of flu season. I see people die of complications from the flu at the hospital. The risks of not getting it weigh more for me than getting it. I had it with my first pregnancy and went full term with no problems whatsoever. I’ve had the flu shot every year for 5 years with no issues at all.

I’m getting it at my next appointment. There haven’t been any pregnancy specific trials on the flu vaccine (as is the case with many other RX pills, OTC pills, medical procedures, etc due to ethical dilemmas) - but hundreds of thousands of women have gotten the flu vaccine without causing complications. The flu, on the other hand - routinely causes complications and kills. I know of two 60 year olds last year that died to to flu complications. We aren’t elderly, obviously, but immune systems are compromised during pregnancy.  
There was one (poorly done) study that showed an increase in miscarriage when the flu shot was given in the first trimester, so if you are really nervous it is your choice if you want to wait until the 2nd trimester or not get it at all.
Definitely get the shot, not the nasal spray though. The shot is inactivated where as the spray is typically live attenuated. I’m just getting the shot from by OBs office to avoid all the confusion of getting the “right” type of flu shot.

I was required to get it because I'm in nursing school but I would've gotten it anyway especially being pregnant! This is my 4th pregnancy and got the flu shot with my other 3 with no complications.

I get the flu shot every year as I work in a hospital, just had it today at 12 weeks and had it around 5 weeks in my previous pregnancy.

I never get the flu shot. I personally do not receive vaccines during pregnancy. They arent allowed to study them on pregnant women as it is unethical. So there isn't any research to prove its safe or not safe which is too risky for me. I didn't get the flu shot with my son or the TDap and he's healthy and I didn't have the flu last year while pregnant with him.

I’ve never gotten the flu shot and don’t plan on it. No one in my family has ever gotten one, even during pregnancy, and no one in my family has gotten the flu. I also don’t work with vulnerable populations (the elderly, kiddos, with sick people) and can easily avoid the public lol
