Pcos and metformin
I don't think I am gonna go until the long story on my PCOS ...I'm just gonna say, found out I had it at 17. Took metformin to helo lose weight (the reason they put me on it) and also was on birth control to regulate my periods. Time passes, I stopped the meformin as it gave me bad stomachaches 6 months later. Year or 2 pass, a doctor doesn't think I have it just because I "lost weight" on my own (horrible reason to ignore my problem) he focuses on JUST my thyroid. I have hypothyroidism as well. Now I can go ahead and jump to the present.
Today, after many years of my PCOS being tossed to the side and going off b.c in April, I am BACK on metformin (obviously I have a new doctor and she also has pcos). I am on it because in these last 6 months I have not ovulated whatsoever. Since I was on b.c. the last time I took it, I did not get to see how it helps ovulation. I take 750mg twice a day. Would love to hear any success stories!! I am crossing my fingers and toes to get my BFP soon! And the best thing for me is, my period is actually due tomorrow or Friday so I started the metformin on a brand new cycle! Hoping I ovulate finally!!
