Do you NEED a baby monitor for a bedside nursery?

My baby will be sleeping next to me until he outgrows his bassinet. Since I dont have a seperate nursery to start out with, do I need a baby monitor?

My little man will be sleeping next to us in his bassinet until he grows out of his too, but we still decided to get a camera because we plan on putting him in there for naps.

Unless you're just planning to sit in there every time baby sleeps or naps, you're going to want one....

I mean it wouldn’t hurt if the babys sleeping and you need to leave the room not extremely necessary tho but a one with only sound wouldn’t hurt to have
