When did you stop laying with your child for bedtime?

So I'm just curious...when did you stop going and laying down to put your child to bed? I still "go to sleep" with her and stay until she falls asleep. She's 6 and will be 7 in December. She still wants me to lay with her and I don't see that changing anytime soon. So when did you stop? And how lol

Never... we say night night, give her a kiss and into her crib!

My mom would tuck me in, lay with me and rub my back for a few minutes every night until I was 18 and left home lol. I'm not ashamed. I'd beg her to hang out for just five minutes or three minutes, sometimes I'd ask her to lay in my spot so when I crawled in it would be warm.

I’ve never laid with my child. I rock him to sleep every night, since he was born, and he’s 3 now. I’ll continue to rock him to sleep every night until he tells me otherwise. Idc if he’s 16 😂

My parents stopped staying with me until I fell asleep around 4-5 as I recall. They stopped tucking me in around...12? I’m not really sure. 
I don’t have kids yet, so this’ll have to do.

Every time I’ve hear a parent sleeps with their child I’m like ahhhh noooo. I’ve seen so many children be 6 yrs old or older and be still in the parents bed because they were allowed to sleep in there until they fell asleep. Or they won’t sleep alone in their bed as they grow. Just rock babies to sleep and have them wake up without you.

Do you mean years or months? I don’t think we’ve done that since he was 15 months old or so.

My mom had to do this until my little sister was almost 13..
I haven’t done it with my kids
