Do you pick first and middle names based on how thy sound when you say them seriously/tell them?

I always “tried out” our name picks by saying them as if I was fussing at a child. To see if I could use the first and middle name together easily and seriously

I didnt yell mine, i said it out loud and wrote it in cursive.

I say the full name as if they’re graduating and I’m announcing them because I notice the announcers always say the names slow with articulation

I do because I want the name to sound nice. However, the first requirement (for me) was the middle name has to be meaningful and honour a family member.

I didnt practice yelling it per say...but I did pick them based on how easy they were to say together. I have 3 kids & I yell both names way too frequently. 😂

Yes. As well as writing them in cursive, checking overall length, and making sure their middle name makes sense by itself. And what I mean by that is my husband always hollers at the girls by their middle names.

I pick my names based on meanings that go together. I make sure they somewhat roll well together. The only exception was my oldest names after my father who died just before his birth and my husband, they just happened to roll really well together.

I didn’t, because I’m not a use-full-name-to-scold kind of person, so it wasn’t relevant.
