When to take newborn insert out? Pic

Carseat instructions said to take it out at 11lbs. Last Friday she was 10lb 12 oz. Does she look too big for it now? Should I take it out? I dont have a scale to weigh her...

She looks like she fits it well yet!  I’m trying to figure out when to take the stupid rolled up receiving blankets.  The nicu said to leave them in until he has head control but I feel like he’s so crunched in there now.
This was already 2 weeks ago and he’s grown a ton since then

Just want to point out (because I didn’t know) the newborn insert is just the bottom piece, the head part can stay. See the picture I posted earlier. I would try it out and make sure to change the height of the shoulder straps if needed (i had to bump up one level when he was 11 pounds)

I have the same car seat and have been wondering the same thing about taking it out. She was getting close to 11 pounds at her last appointment a few weeks ago, but I haven’t taken mine out yet. I think I’m going to wait until her next appointment in a week or so and see how much she weighs then. The hospital told us that we didn’t have to use it at all if we didn’t want to, so it sounds like you can take it out if you want. I thought about taking it out and seeing how she fits without it and going from there.

I think height is more important is her head over the top of the head piece of the insert? If so then I might remove the bottom part so she sits lower in the seat . I'm not totally sure on this though! Just my opinion

We took ours out and he no longer hates the car seat! I fixed the belt after this but he looked too cute not to take a pic :)

My son is now 14lbs 14oz and we've still got it in, though it will be going out soon, but he's just on the tail end now

Our seats adjustable 🙌 we just moved it up and hes 13lbs. So I would assume 13lbs is a good time to take an inserted one out.
