Is it normal? - boobs

Had my baby a week ago I’m bottle feeding, and my boobs have gone hard and started leaking like a LOT I was told to wear tight tops and bras to dry it up or I’ll need antibiotics etc.
Shall I tell my midwife or will they just dry up, I haven’t touched or stimulated them

It’s normal for them to leak. I’ve read Benadryl can help dry it up, also peppermint oil.

100% normal. I’m five weeks pp and still leaking a little. The first week the milk came in, I was engorged for a few days so much that they were so heavy I couldn’t lay down and breathe lol. Then they stopped being engorged, but still leaked a lot for a while. It starts out at a lot and slowly stops. Just taking a warm shower will make them leak. Just wait it out. I had my Pp appt today and it’s still normal 😕

Put a cabbage leave in the fridge then put it in your bra will help with pain

Yea it’ll take a bit to dry up. One thing you should be weary of is a clogged milk duct. They hurt like hell and happened to me when I wasn’t breastfeeding. So read up on that in case it does happen and what you can do to potentially prevent it or relieve pain from it.
