My child had a cranial helmet for 8 months. Having a cushion on their head only prevents the inevitable. They need to learn to protect their heads and that things hurt.  My son got use to throwing himself around with his helmet on, he would just throw himself backwards on the ground or hit things with his head and it had no effect on him. When he had the helmet removed, we spent probably 2 weeks of him bumping and bruising his head because now the things he got use to doing, hurt. Save the money, let her figure it out.

Nah. Would probably come off and babies need to learn how to protect their heads and increase their spatial awareness. They’re tougher than you think, promise! I’d give it a couple more weeks then maybe check with her pediatrician :) Just try to cover up sharp corners.
