my 5 month old son is named asante. i am simply not a fan on most boy names, they all sound so basic and common to me. and if i do like one, it’s usually because i associate it with someone.

most people seem to really like it. the other day my friend’s boyfriend said it was “awful” and sounded like “an off brand soda” ...🙄

he thinks he’s funny but honestly it kind of bothered me because i fell in love with this name. then again, i usually don’t care about opinions. it’s grown on anyone who was on the fence about it.
