Getting teeth pulled when pregnant?

Has anyone gotten teeth pulled when pregnant? I chipped my back tooth and my doctor said it will have to be removed anyways so I'll be getting it removed and I'm so scared and nervous. I'm almost 18 weeks so I know it's safe I just hate going to the dentist:(

I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled during my last pregnancy. The worst part about it was the actual extraction because you can only be numbed. It’s lots of pressure and super uncomfortable. Afterwards, I didn’t find the pain to be unbearable. I was definitely in less pain than before I had it pulled. Although, I swore that I’d never have anymore teeth pulled while awake. I think that has more to do with my anxiety over the issue though.

I had a molar and two wisdoms pulled while 16 weeks pregnant. It sucked for sure because you can't be put under and I couldn't have pain meds. But it is doable. And worth it if the tooth is so bothersome.

They'll just use a local numbing agent rather than putting you under. I had to wait to have my teeth dealt with after my first was born, but my wisdom teeth had to be cut out of my gums. I did have cavities filled when i was in my second trimester, and they just used a shot of numbing meds into the gums. Other than me freaking out about having a needle in my mouth; it was fine. Lol

I'm getting a tooth pulled next week. They will be just numbing it. No pain meds afterwards per my request. I had a root canal a year ago but I had nitrous, yet no pain meds and my side of my face was just swollen and it made my ear hurt. I know we can't have nitrous so it'll be interesting this time. The dr said the pressure is the worst part.

I waited till after I gave birth to get my wisdom teeth removed. I have a low pain tolerance 🤷🏻‍♀️
