Hi ladies. I’m 21 years old and 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby!!! I’m in a very happy relationship with my amazing boyfriend who is the father of my baby. When I was 16, I started dating a guy and became really close with his family, especially his mom. We dated for three years, and he broke up with me shortly after my 19th birthday. It absolutely broke my heart and his family’s heart as well, but to respect my ex, I cut ties with his family. Fast forward to two years later, and I’m very much over my ex. I do not have any desire to get back together with him AT ALL. He was my first love, but the relationship I’m in now is absolutely everything to me. Today while shopping for some baby clothes, I ran into my ex’s mom. She was so happy to see me, and she had heard through the grape vine that I’m pregnant and told me she was excited for me and that she still loves me and thinks of me often. She asked for my phone number and I gave it to her. She then texted me tonight asking if I would go to dinner with her next Thursday night. Personally, I would love to go and catch up with her because we were so close for the 3 years that I dated her son. I mentioned to my boyfriend that I was planning on going, and he was not happy about it. He said its weird for me to be close with my ex’s family and he feels like it could lead to me talking to my ex again. I assured him that this would never happen, as I have no desire to speak to my ex again and he is 3 hours away from here at college anyways. My boyfriend still doesn’t want me to go. Do you think he’s being completely unreasonable? Or should I just respect his views and not go? Let me know what you all think.
