I’m so confused! Still not sure how ovulation tests work.. so this is today’s. Yesterday there was no 2nd line, does this mean there is more of a “surge” today and I will ovulate soon, or does this mean basically the same as a test with no 2nd line?

So ovulation tests detect a hormone that you get a surge before you ovulate. So when you have a positive test it means you have the highest level of this hormone in your system which means you will ovulate 12-36 after you have your surge. Once you have a positive test, its important to have sex to maximise your chances of getting pregnant. You will know when its positive because the first line (test line) needs to be the same darkness or darker then the second line ( control line). These type is strip tests are better to be taken in the early to mid afternoon with no drinking fluids and holding your wee for about 4-5 hours. Hope I could make sense of it for you.
