Any working moms while dad stays home?

Anyone on here a working mom while the dad stays home? I am highly considering this but dread the comments of old fashioned people. Does it work well for you and your SO?

My BIL stays home with the kids. My sister makes double what he was. Who care what other people think. You do what works best for you.

This is the plan! My husband and I are moving to a new state. He’s a business owner but his location is currently under construction until March 2020 so I’ll be carrying the weight of working plus pregnant temporarily. But I don’t mind, that’s the beauty of marriage. He scratches my back (I was a SAHM for 2 years) and I’ll scratch his back now. No issues, and no complaints.

Tbh I’d rather it be that way I feel like the man appreciates his woman more because he sees what it like to take care of kids and the house and still be a husband just don’t forget to show him love and affection and still make time for him

I think my SO and I might do this when I have a baby. I have a college degree and a stable job and he works for minimum wage. He’s great with kids and I don’t want to give up my job. I don’t see why not to do it!

Not me personally. But I work in a law firm with two women that their husbands stay home with the kids. You have to do what’s best for your family.

🙋🏻‍♀️ I work full time and my hubby stays at home with the kiddos. He also has a side business where he works out in the shop after the kids go to bed. Pros are we don’t have to do daycare, kids always have dad available during the work week, he cooks dinner, keeps the kids alive and does some of the shopping. Cons are we don’t get a lot of time together, I get home he hands the kids off to me while he cooks dinner and we put the kids to bed then he goes out to the shop to work, I still have to clean, laundry pay all bills ect. Sometimes I get bitter that I’m not the stay at home parent but then again I’m thankful to get adult time (even though it’s only at work) and I have control of the financial part of everything. I can’t say that I would enjoy being a sahm but I wish I had more time with my kids. It has worked for us for the past 5 years.

I want to have and nurse a lot of kids so it didn't make sense for us that the sole provider in our family be the person who has to take a bunch of time off work to get pregnant / have babies / breastfeed etc. 
However, if that is not your situation, I say go for it! My husband would be fabulous at it, it just doesn't make sense in our situation. 
If the only thing stopping you is what people might think, do it!

Do what works for you. If and when I finally have a kid, that's what we are going to do. I have a high paying job and my husband bounces around with jobs and is on ss disability. So theres no need for childcare
