Sex Question

I know this may sound like a dumb question but what does sex supposed to feel like ? I had my first time last night with my boyfriend who I have very strong feelings for, I felt very comfortable and I had been wanting to loose my virginity to him but, I didn’t enjoy it at all and it was painful. He was very gentle and went slow but it was so unsatisfying for me. And after I didn’t want him to stay I kinda wanted him to leave. Is this normal? Help !
