Hi guys. Wondering if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction. I’m not married but I do own a house with my boyfriend. We just bought it a couple of months ago and unfortunately things just aren’t working out after 4 years together, and I think we’re both on the same page with wanting out of this relationship. My question is - what happens a with the house? If he agrees he wants to keep it, how does that work (I’m okay with leaving, I can’t afford it on my own). And if he doesn’t want it, we sell it and then what? I’m assuming we’d both be taking a loss considering there’s no equity in the house, so I’m curious to know what kind of fees need to be paid and what I need to expect out of this. Any guidance/advice is appreciated.. :(
