Vitamin D Deficiency
Hello, all! I have been TTC for over 2 years now. I recently had some more bloodwork done, and it seems like I have a slight vitamin D deficiency. My level was 17, whereas the normal range is 25-100. I have been taking daily prenatal vitamins for almost 3 years that have 1000 IU. Today I bought some Vitamin D3 supplements over the counter that are 5000 IU. Is this too much? Is there such a thing as too much Vitamin D? Everything I have read online is conflicting. Some things say it's too much, some say 50,000 IU weekly, some say no more than 100 IU daily, (which doesn't seem right since I'm already taking 1000 IU daily and still have a deficiency). I'm looking for real stories. Thank you!
