Ultrasound or app?

Just went to my first ultrasound. I thought I was 7+2 weeks (according to app) but doctor said 8+1 at the ultrasound. So do I follow my first guess 7+2 weeks or 8+1 weeks?

Would go by ultrasound. My midwife said if the dates change according to the scan to let her know so appointments can change around it.

Based on LMP my due date is 5/9. Based on Ultrasound 5/13. They are keeping my due date based on LMP since the ultrasound wasn’t off by a week or more. We will see what baby measures at next ultrasound at almost 13 weeks. 
But really EDD are all just guesses anyways. Baby could come 2 weeks before or after that date so I don’t worry too much. I just tell people I’m due mid May
