Nursing pillow?

Are nursing pillows worth it or can I just use a regular pillow?

I loved my Boppy but sometimes wished it was a little more firm. That’s just my personal preference. This time I got the Ikea nursing pillow. It was cheap and looks similar to the Boppy but feel more sturdy. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with all these cute options for covers. I’m excited to try it out anyway 🙂

I love my Boppy. It’s also good for support if siblings who are young want to hold the baby.

I think it depends on your body, honestly.  Mainly the length of your torso, arms, etc.  for example, I have a short torso so the nursing pillows were always too big for me and the baby’s head was up by my neck.  But say you have a lot torso, it might be comfy for you.  So maybe see if you have access to a friends/family members to try first!!

I plan on just using a regular pillow. I’m trying to minimize the amount of “stuff” for baby.

I had a boppy with my first and loved it! You can use a regular pillow, but I didn't like using a regular pillow very much.

I ended up sitting on my boppy while recovering last pregnancy. A regular pillow worked better for me for breastfeeding and then I had multiple to keep one at each of my regular nursing spots.
