Is it a miscarriage? Bleeding 4.5 weeks. TMI

Hi, I am freaking out. I had a dark brown discharge all day today.called a nurse and she said it could be irratated cervix because of sex a few days ago or something else... I assume she meant mc, but didn't want to freak me out. I was told to monitor it for now. Please tell me someone had something similar and everything was alright with the baby 😭

I had that for like 4 days when I was around 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. I didn't know I was pregnant until 7 weeks so I was all, oh look a light period 😂 I'm almost 32 weeks now! That kind of spotting it old blood

Brown is usually old blood exiting!

I’d watch it to make sure it doesn’t turn in to bright red blood as that could be a good indicator of miscarriage, normally brown especially that dark isn’t a huge cause for concern. :)

I had the same thing and I freaked out at first too. Had things checked out and baby was fine. Not to worry it’s pretty normal in the first trimester.

Just wanted to post an update. So, I was spotting for the nest 3 days but then got a very heavy (3 soaked liners in an hour). Next day got more bleeding which turned black-ish. I went to the ER where I was diagnosed with a fundal subchorionic hematoma :( I am on a bed rest now.
