Wanted to introduce myself. I had ER in June following overstimulation for IUI, we have moderate male factor only. I am 29 and my husband is 32. Ended up with 47 follicles, 9 good-looking day 3 embryos.
Our first FET after recovering from severe OHSS was in late August with a 3 day, no hormones. One died during thaw and the one we put back was BFN.
Our second FET was early October. It was supposed to be another 3 day but it died during thaw (again) so they tried to grow 3 more embryos for an extra 2 days. One looked perfect 4AA so we transferred it on a medicated cycle and BFN.
We are left with 3 day 3 embryos and not much hope. Probably this cycle we will just put them all back - or whatever survives the thaw - in early December. I’m planning to do a natural cycle possibly with some vaginal estrogen support for my lining.
We are also considering ditching these embryos and doing a fresh ER with a competent doctor and PGS, but it’s expensive and we don’t have the $$ upfront (the IVF itself is free where I live but IMSI and PGS cost a lot). However it looks like the OHSS really ruined the quality of our embryos and I don’t want to have BFN after BFN, so it might be the way to go. In any case we’ll likely move to a new cycle in January if and when December fails.
