I’ve been a nanny for a single father for the past 2 and a half years and I’m being paid $14.4 an hour however my hours are pretty much non existent

His office closed down in June so he took a severance payment and since then I’ve been working like 2 days a week bc those are the days where he will do grocery shopping and all that

I stayed after he lost his job bc I’ve been working for him for so long I felt like I owed it to him and to myself to stick it out through the past couple months

He’s finally going back to work next week but idk how to explain to him that I either more hours or better pay

When I first started working for him I was fresh out of high school still living with my parents so I didn’t have many responsibilities as far as bills but now I’m living on my own and I need to be making enough to pay my bills... I need a minimum of $450 a week other wise I need to quit school and find a second job or just a better job in general that I can do full time

He paid me yesterday after me having to wait 3 weeks to get paid and the check was wrong so now I have to wait even longer bc it was under what he owed me even though he wrote down on his calendar the amount of hours he owed me for

Being paid $14.4 an hour has its perks especially back when he still had a job and I had to spend the night on weeks where he was out of town on business trips.... but I’m making like $80 a week right now since I’m not working enough
