Anyone else giving tylenol?

Today has been the first time our 4 month old would not stop crying. She has been drooling nonstop for weeks and chewing on anything she can get her hands on. Today she had a bit of a temp and her cheeks have been red all day. So i gave in and gave her some infant tylenol but only half the dose. Within 20 minutes she stopped fussing and she seemed comfortable.  I dont want to give her tylenol but i hate seeing her in pain 😭

Give it! It’s made for baby’s, it doesn’t hurt.

We use Tylenol anytime she’s in pain 🤷‍♀️ Id rather give her the medicine than let her lay there and scream in pain.

I’m funny about medicine but will never hesitate to give my daughter Tylenol to relieve her pain! It’s not fair for babies to be so helpless and uncomfortable when we have medicine that can help.

I give it to my 3 month old when all else fails and he’s beyond uncomfortable.

I give Tylenol for teething when then rubbing of the gums and orajel aren’t cutting it and I can tell it’s really bothering him.

Related question: how do you know your babies are in pain and not just extra fussy? I don't want him to suffer but I also don't want to overmedicate him. We gave him paracetamol once after his first shots when he had a fever and was inconsolable. He's been a little fussier than usual lately (we think he's teething) but we can usually settle him (last resort: give him the boob). Could he still be in pain?

I gave mine tylenol she goes through 5 bibs a day and had 4 large lumps. However, if your going to give tylenol give the reccomend dose that your dr says is safe.  I say this because as a nurse yes your giving pain relief and the baby fell asleep but may still be in pain. Pain doesn't stop just because your asleep so longer term pain may still be there.. just food for thought.
