Nipple pain?

I am 3 weeks PP and my nipples are still very sensitive when showering and to the touch. Is this normal? They are also very pink. Could it be a yeast infection? I occasionally get stabs of pain in my breasts. I have no other symptoms and it does not hurt to breastfeed. I could just be a paranoid FTM? Help!

Same. Mine are sensitive against fabric. I think it's normal, according to my LC. I was told they toughen up with time, and keep using Lanolin. That has helped me tremendously. A thought: Do you feel any lumps or is your breast hot to the touch? If so, you could have a clogged duct.

Tenderness and the occasional shooting or tingle-type feeling is both normal. My aerolas also lightened as they seemed to get stretched out. So all that’s normal. Lanolin is great. I kept using it before showers and between breastfeeds until I forgot because my nipples felt better. The “shooting pains” are likely related to milk production or let downs. As long as it’s just for a few seconds, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong. 
As someone else advised, do watch for hot, hard lumps in the breast which likely are clogged / infected milk ducts. And yes, yeast (thrush) infections can be shared between you and baby. So if you have more consistent pain or new Troy no e with breastfeeding, see your doc or someone smart about breastfeeding mommas care.
