How long did it take you and your partner to make it official?

We had dates in high school briefly and when I saw him on okcupid I messaged him as a joke. We hung out after talking for awhile and it was just right. A week later of hanging out almost everyday he took me out for a nice dinner and said “so should we like put this on Facebook or...” lmfao. Now we’re engaged and planning our wedding and have two cats together. Every situation is different though and there’s no official time line. Do what feels right.

My husband & I met online on OKCupid, after about 2 weeks of talking every day & probably 4 or 5 in person dates I went online to show my sister his picture & discovered he’d taken down his profile. I messaged him & was like “Sooo I noticed your profile is gone” & he said “Yeah I don’t really want to date anyone other than you” & I went “Cool, I’ll take down mine too.” Next month will be 6 years together, 5 years married :)

7 months for us. I was newly single after being engaged for 5 years and had two children so my children were my priority at the time. We went on a few dates a month for 7 months before we decided to make it official and to also meet my children. We have been married 3 years now and together for 8. There is no right or wrong answer. A year after I graduated I found him on fb/Twitter we linked; became fuck buddies for awhile, I caught feelings he broke it off. 13 months later we rekindled, 7 months after that we made it official.
