Who else is having/had coed baby shower?

A lot of my friends are dudes and I wanted my fiancé to be able to invite some of his friends as well! Female only doesn't make sense to me.

My shower is women only, and their daughters if they have them. My husband didn’t want to be a part of the shower other than to drop me off, take some pictures and pick me up later and help me bring any gifts home. My father in law is doing something at the American legion for any of the guys that will be around since my family is driving a few hours to get there, and my dad did the same for my husbands family for my bridal shower. We went to a friends coed shower and my husband was miserable, even though his friends were there, especially for the gift opening and games, and begged me not to do the same.

I had both. My shower in my hometown was co-ed and I preferred the inclusiveness of it. My shower up here was female only and while it was lovely, I felt that co-ed would’ve been more fun for my husband. We had a great time at both but we live in his hometown so it would’ve made more sense to have this one be co-ed too. I appreciate everything my MIL did though.

I honestly hate the female only showers. Co-Ed and family friendly for all of my showers I have and will have. It’s more lively that way and I want my husband and his pals to be involved not just my few girl friends. I have a lot of friends that are guys that I want there too.

Some of my closest friends are male, and I don't understand why I would exclude them - for "tradition"? Because having babies is "women's business"? Seems weird and patriarchal.

Mine is going to be co-Ed and kid friendly. I wanted to be surrounded by all of our friends and family. Most of our friends have kids and I have a 10 year old myself. We are having a kiddy table with pumpkin painting, and on for bow making. All the guys will probably end up outside or around the food table. Many of our friends wouldn’t be able to make it otherwise.
