Baby’s tummy too big 😩

Zee

I’m at 35 weeks and have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My sugars have been in control very well. So they had a scan done yesterday and told me that her stomach is too large. Her stomach is at the 92nd percentile and it’s dating almost 2 weeks ahead. They believe it’s from the sugars. I cried and broke down yesterday because the “nutritionist” they gave me told me initially I wasn’t eating enough a month ago. I’m barely 5’2 and she put me on a 1900 calorie diet with an abundance of complex carbs every meal and snack. That’s way too many calories for me. Before pregnancy, I’d eat anywhere from 1200-1300. This was hard to do but I still managed to shove my face and get around 1500-1600. I hadn’t gained weight since July but now I’ve rapidly gained 4 pounds in the past 4 weeks and my doctor doesn’t like it. I walk every single day but it’s getting harder and harder each day. The NP yesterday told me I’m eating too much. 😩🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m so irritated. And I truly feel like I’ve let my baby down. I’m extremely worried about having a c section. And I’m worried about her health. All her other body parts are on time except her tummy. Has anyone had a similar case?
