So I got my first Depo Shot - birth control in general on Tuesday October 15th, 2019. Today is Thursday October 17th, 2019 & me and my boo was planning on having sex on Friday October 18th, 2019 (tomorrow). We plan to use a condom every time we have sex to make sure we’re safe - neither of us are ready for babies yet, but people & the internet have told me to wait at least 7days for the shot to be effective - I just got off my period this past weekend, got the shot on Tuesday and want to have sex Friday with protection. Is there anything I should be concerned for? Is there a risk of me getting pregnant? Should I wait a week recommended? (People and the internet have said to wait the week - my doctor when getting the birth control didn’t explain ANYTHING at all to me).
