My LO is 3 weeks and 2 days old. Day one he had trouble latching, and the lactation consultation at the hospital automatically gave me a shield to use. She didn’t really even try to work in his latch with me, which was frustrating. So, I’ve been using shields whenever I nursed him. I would try to get him to latch intermittently without one but he would get so frustrated. This morning I’ve been able to get him to successfully latch and nurse for two whole sessions!! I’m so freaking excited because it makes nursing him so much easier and eliminates a step in the process! Here’s hoping it stays consistent and we get this thing down!!
