Answer

The hormones in the pill mimic that of when you’re pregnant. The withdrawal bleed is because you are no longer getting those hormones. So in theory, if you are pregnant once you stop taking the pill for that “period week” you shouldn’t bleed because your body is still producing hormones (because you are in fact pregnant). However, there are always exceptions to the rule.
