Should I give up?

I’ve been exclusively pumping for the most part. I was using a manual pump for 4 weeks before my electric pump came in. I had a party for my angel baby Saturday and didn’t pump at all. The next morning I pumped about 5 oz. but ever since that pump ive be getting 1/2 oz or 1 oz. I’ll be six pp . Should I give up or keep trying?  I pump every 3 hrs and i take fenugreek. Help!

I wanted to say, I'd you want to keep trying, keep trying. That said, if stopping is better for your sanity, stop. Feed your baby, any way you can, be that breast milk or formula.

Make sure your eating. I was told to stop drinking water and drink something with calories because I've had no appetite with the PPD and was not taking enough calories to produce well.

Lots of water!  And there also milk enhancement u can look into to see if that helps

I’m in the same boat, I don’t always pump but I do try to feed my baby and he takes a few sucks and stops like if he’s not interested in my boob 🙁 I’m bearly getting 1 oz from both breasts. I ordered the emergency brownies from milky mama hopefully that will increase my supply🤞🏽

Also- you may have to pump every 2 hours- even if nothing comes out. Also pump for 30 minutes.

I read that for some women fenugreek can actually decrease supply. My LC told me to pump every two hours.

Definitely agree with the drinking water. I have stopped breastfeeding twice. To start again, i tried everything - the teas and the bars. Not a huge difference. One morning- i downed 3 cups of water and pumped 6-7 hours later and had a HUGE increase - went from pumping 1-2 oz per boob to 3 oz per boob.

BODY ARMOR! It helped my friend so much. But if you rather not spend money just drink a lot of water. Invest in a water bottle that keeps stuff cold for a long time. I got a 32oz bottle for $12 at Burlington and it keeps stuff cold all day.

Fenugreek can do the opposite and drop your supply. It doesn’t happen to everyone but it can happen. I’d stop the fenugreek up your water intake eat oatmeal if you like it. Coconut water I hear is great for supply.
