Making baby formula?

Hey natural mamas!
I'm looking for some good info on making your own baby formula.  My baby is 6 weeks old and BFing just isnt going as planned.  I'm nervous about chemicals in commercial formula, and have been doing a bit of looking at making my own formula. 
Any moms have any tips?or experience with homemade formula?

I’ve read over and over it’s a bad idea as you can not include everything  baby needs and it can get sick because it’s not getting the proper quantity of certain nutrients. There are companies out there that are organic and more natural that make high quality formulas as well.

No, you cannot make your own formula. That is extremely dangerous and stupid. If you have concerns about formulas, speak with your pediatrician. Baby formula is safe and making your own isn’t.

I’m all about natural but this can be so dangerous. Have you considered and milk bank instead?

This is something I would discuss with my pediatrician personally. I wouldn’t trust the advice of strangers on an app on this particular topic. Babies have such specific nutritional requirements its not as simple as sharing a recipe. Many recipes call for raw cows milk or additional supplements that are not well regulated. 
I know store bought formula is not perfect but there are many brands out there that omit many of the ingredients that bigger brands like enfamil use. 
We personally went with earths best because they have no added sugar and do not use hexane to extract dha. 
We also grappled with the diy idea but I don’t trust a recipe off the Internet and our pediatrician provided us with enough information that we decided the risks outweighed the benefits.

I don't have any experience and wouldn't recommend it. Infant formula is specifically formulated and very tightly controlled. 
I know some people prefer some natural brands sold in various places in Europe, but it's quite expensive.

Honestly baby formulas have been used safely for years. They are FAR safer than making your own. If you look at the ingredient list and nutrient list on a can of formula and try and recreate that yourself I feel like it would be near impossible. If anything get a recommendation from a paediatrician but I think it will be more work than anything for very little benefit.

BF was hard for me and my baby didn't do well with regular formula or the special allergy formula. We ended up using goat milk, sugar, and a multi vitamin successfully. He is thriving, happy, and healthy.
My baby is 7 months old and we make 50% strength goat milk from powder, substituting sugar for the missing calories. Since goat milk alone doesn't provide all the micronutrients he needs, we also use a liquid pediatric multi vitamin that has B vitamins in it.
Bottom line, do your research. My solution might not work for you, but it works very well for us.
