Sleep train?

Question

LO will be 5 months on the 27th... I recently spoke with someone about letting their child sleep train and told them how my guy rolls constantly and gets stuck in the corner of the crib hitting his head or arm getting stuck in between the posts... anyone else with this problem? I'd love to try laying hom down and self soothe, which I have done a few times and it has worked... but he gets stuck a lot, making me end up rocking him or holding a paci for him until he falls out. Just needing suggestions

My twins did and still do the same thing. What I did because I was freaking out and not getting any sleep for two weeks was I just sat in the room w them and watched which way they favored rolling and put them closer to the ￼ opposite side of the crib to allow them to just roll the way they want and lay somewhat in the middle of the bed. Once they did that they used to cry a lot but I just let them cry it out. Or paci them the way they rolled. And I’m the middle of the night if they roll again and get stuck they usually cry and I move them back to the middle, paci them, turn on their sound machine, and walk away. They usually fall back to sleep. I hope this all makes sense and helps lol.

Maybe something like this? No clue if it’s considered safe or not, so I’d do some research. But it seems like it’d help!

I have a mesh bed crib liner that I use once my first son started getting his arms stuck and I’m about to pull it out again for my second soon. It helped and it’s mesh so even if your LO’s face comes in contact they can still breathe. Maybe that may help with one of your issues.

Mesh liners aren't considered safe (a broken arm is preferable to the alternative) but if you need to use one make sure it is VERY well secured and even you can't pull it off.
