Anyone else have to get Rhogam shot?

I am A- I have already had mine once around 11 weeks. And will have another one on Nov 11 at 28 weeks. I have five kids already so I am used to this shot.

Where I live, it’s given out at 28 weeks if you have a negative blood type and you get another one after baby comes if baby is a positive blood type. Also, after my first I had a miscarriage and didn’t know I’d need a rhogam shot for that too, I never even thought about it. So after that I went on to have two more miscarriages and it was a huge worry that I’d become RH sensitized and having another baby would be complicated. So, ladies!! Make sure if you’re negative blood type you get a shot if you have any bleeding, keep it in mind for future pregnancies too!

I went last week and had mine. I’m O- as well. I was nervous because everyone talks about how much it hurts, but I literally didn’t feel a thing. So don’t be nervous!

Husbands blood is being tested. I'm o neg, but if he too is a neg, then there is no need for a shot! I'll find out at my next midwife appointment
