Am I the only one?

I just need to know if I'm the only one rocking my baby to sleep ..... and not even just rocking ..most if the time I have to walk around and rock him if I sit down he loses it if I put him down when he's super tired his eyes open up sooo wide and he starts crying like I betrayed him! I keep seeing all of these " I put my baby down and he goes right to sleep " posts and I'm like WHAAATT?? HOWWW??

I have to do this sometimes. Usually if I wait too long to put her down. Try getting lo a bit sooner and see if it helps. Worked really well for me.

My first was like this and then we had to CIO at 5 months and he only ever lasted 6 minutes of crying and only cried the first two nights.

I rock my son to sleep. Sometimes he can fall asleep on his own, but not every single time.

You are definitely not alone. And I know exactly how you feel because I too have felt it’s unfair that some women have babies that are easy to go to sleep. Up until 13 weeks my little girl would only sleep in my arms bouncing on the exercise ball or dancing/bouncing around the room. Even if she’s completely out and snoring, the instant I would stop and try to put her down she would wake up and cry. However, she now nurses to sleep side laying in bed or on the couch and I lay beside her for comfort so that she stays asleep 🤷‍♀️ you do what you have to do to get your little one to sleep! Hang in there, you’ve got this!

We splurged on the graco dream glider which does the rocking for us. I'm scared how it's gonna go once we move gin to his crib.  With my first I was tied to that rocking chair.

I have twins and through no work on my part (got tired of waiting?) I now have one who will fall asleep on his own...unless he is overtired. my other twin was actually my easiest at going to sleep on his own but he's having a growth spurt I think. it's hit or miss. i actually had intentions of rocking my baby as long as I could but having two is just...well, survival😂 i had to throw out a lot of "plans." just goes to show you, there are plenty of ways to do something...just do what's best for you guys.

my little guy goes down pretty well most of the time for the night but not for naps. took me an hour of bouncing for him to go down for an afternoon nap today, my back is killing me now! (not to mention both wrists, the tendinitis is getting worse 😖)

I started to try to do it around 5 weeks and she finally did it at 7-8weeks. I started with naps bc I had more patience with that. At nighttime I’m ready to go to bed too so I didn’t have the patience to try it. What I did is I swaddled her, let her get her kicking and moving out, then I gave her a paci when she would take it and I’d stay in the room and pump or put up or laundry or something. Usually it would take about 10 min and she would fall asleep. If she got too fussy I’d pick her up and rock her to sleep. Now it’s just a minute or two, especially since I’ve learned her tired cues. 
I will mention I didn’t let her cry it out. She would kick and flail for a few minutes but not cry, then she would calm down and I gave her a paci and she would fall asleep. If she got fussy and it was obvious it wasn’t going to happen, I stopped. At first it was only 10-15 min naps but it was something.

I have to rock my son to sleep for his daytime/evening naps..but for some reason I can just lay him down at bedtime and he does amazing. I'm wondering if it's because it's not dark at all all day and at night his body knows exactly what's going on. I keep saying I'm going to invest in room darkening curtains but then I forget 😂
