Did your LOs Torticollis go away on its own?

Question

My doctor says her range of motion in her neck is fine even though she favours a side. He said it was probably one side or the other based on how she slept. I'm labelling it Torticollis for this post but he didn't diagnose anything. She favours one side or the other. If it's this way at her 6mo needles I'll request physio or something but just looking to see if this is common.

UPDATE: my pt told me that what I'm doing is basically all they would recommend anyways. So I'll just be a little more diligent with it and hope for the best. 
Does anyone mind I ask why a helmet ? Is it because it created a flat spot for some children ?

We did physical therapy, but it’s mostly stretches done at home by mom and dad anyway, so just google and you can find them. It’s ear to shoulder and turning their head while they’re laying on their back. Google “St. Jude’s torticollis” and their pages have excellent diagrams and instructions. No need to wait to be referred to PT.

We had to do PT and get a helmet. Also found out he had reflux as well that was a contributing factor.

My daughter's did not go away on its own, but the left side of her head was flatter and wasn't getting better, which is when her pediatrician referred my daughter to physical therapy at 4 months, and she did that until 6 months. There's really no harm in doing pt. The physical therapist we had, actually thought that all babies get some form of it. It was really helpful, and don't feel bad if you end up getting it for you baby. It's much better than a helmet!

Once my son gained control over his big ole head it was no longer an issue and the flattening that was starting to appear is now undetectable!

Thanks ! She is five months old and has done it since birth basically. I always fix it, we change sides of the bed, switch sides of change table etc etc. She has had full head control since three months but she has never had a flat spot. It's like she sleeps on the one side and doesn't move in the night and then she favours it for a week or so. Then she switches sides lol. It's weird. She doesn't seem to be in pain or lack range of motion. It's just what she does 🤷🏻‍♀️

We did PT for 4 months and it cleared on its own.
