Tbh they haven’t had the best relationship and he feels like he wasn’t the greatest dad to me. My dad and I have a funny relationship. But it would mean a lot to my dad (I feel like it may help repair the relationship) which in return would make me happy.

My dad talks about it and says “well when he’s ready I will bring him to my jeweller” he just wants to be involved. I want him to be. My boyfriend doesn’t want to even ask him. He said he will mention it if it comes up. He said he doesn’t need his permission especially because we have a daughter together. I honestly want him to ask him and to involve him. I want him to go to the jeweller with him.

What should I do about this?
