Needing Any and All Advice 😞❣️

Brianica • Mama to my sweet little Armani💙 24 years young ❣️

My boyfriend and I moved into our own place (FINALLY after looking for so long🎉) on March 1st. Everything was going awesome!! I found out in July that I was pregnant 😍 we were and still are obviously so happy and excited even though it was a little bit of a surprise and we weren’t exactly in a great place money wise we wouldn’t change it for anything. I told my job in August that I was pregnant because I am also a type 1 diabetic and I needed them to know that I have to get my breaks in for eating and stuff like that. My manager was super understanding while talking to me and I was so grateful for that! Fast forward probably 2 weeks and I notice my hours started to get cut. No big deal. 👋🏼 we had just hired a new guy and entering the colder months (I work at a travel store) so made sense. Then I noticed my hours were down to 10 a week (I was working 35-40) and nobody else’s was decreasing. I started realizing that the new guy is basically there to replace me and my hours are now at 4 a week. You guys are probably wondering why I don’t say anything about it and the reason is right after I started noticing the hours decreasing I started getting really bad morning sickness throughout everyday making it really hard to work anyways. So in a way it kind of worked out but at the same time she cut my hours before I was even having to call in for the morning sickness so it’s like she wanted to make me leave since she can’t fire someone for being pregnant. But anyways, financially we are really struggling now. My boyfriend has been working 40+ hours to support everything but even then we are falling extremely short. Because of all of this our bills have been super backed up with electricity being in the $400s from 2 months worth of billing plus it was during the summer time. They hadn’t shut us off yet because I was able to give about $50-$70 every check but with only 4 hrs a week at work now I have only been able to do about $20 each check so today our lights got turned off. We finally got the bill down to $287 which is what We owe now to get them back on. My boyfriends paychecks have been going to rent because we were also 2 months behind on that putting $1000+ behind. Our landlord is super sweet and said if we could do $200 a week until it’s paid down then we don’t have to find a new place to live so my boyfriend has no extra money after paying that every week plus the little amount of groceries we get as well. I know once we can catch up on all of these backed up bills we will be fine especially now that it’s winter and we won’t have to pay for AC with the electric bill🙌🏼 once I can find some work I can do while still sick all the time that’ll help too but I hate getting a job then being unreliable. So it’s just getting to the point of having all of this behind us is so hard with no help from anyone else and not being able to work like I want to is really frustrating because I love to work hard and hate feeling like I’m not pulling my weight. 😭😞 so basically I was just curious if anyone has any legit information on grants or assistance in general for pregnant women? I try to google it but nothing real comes up that I can find. I live in KS and am 20 years old btw! I have already applied for food stamps and Cash assistance programs here as well.
