Night terrors...

My 2 year old has never been a good sleeper. She's been having night terrors every now and then nothing constant for the past few months. The past week or so they've gotten a lot worse! Last night she had 3! My husband woke her up the last time and she was so scared to go back to sleep. Anybody else dealing with this? Anybody have any suggestions on how to help her? We're going to the doctor in Monday I just figured I'd ask here before we go.

My son had them on and off for the last year. He turns 2 at the end of the month but recently they have gotten very bad. He wakes up screaming. I will try to comfort him or sing to him and he freaks out even more. Once he finally calms down he doesn’t wanna go back to sleep :/ we tried melatonin and essential oils tonight . Dr recommended trying these things and white noise. I’m praying it works.

The pediatrician said it’s very common for them to have night terrors and it’s something they will grow out of. We were advised to cut screen time and just try to keep a positive atmosphere. Also we introduced melatonin to help her sleep. She still has them occasionally but not multiple times a night thank goodness! If she’s had a long day or is over tired it’s worse! I hope any of this helps! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know how hard it is❤️
