I spent all day in L&D yesterday, was even admitted and everyone was anticipating a baby soon, but then contractions literally just stopped. After 6+ hours of beautifully strong, every 3 minute contractions, it fizzled out and stopped! My OB checked me again and said my cervix was so posterior she couldn't reach it (nurse had checked about 4 hours earlier and I was at a 3 and very posterior). She can't give me pitocin unless I'm 39 weeks (had pitocin with the previous two babies at 37 and 38 weeks though) and was given the option to go home to eat, rest, and walk baby down.

I feel like I did the walk of shame off the unit after all the anticipation and leaving with still being pregnant. I've cleaned and moved all day with a few decently strong contractions, but nothing consistent and it still doesn't feel like she's any lower. 😩 Just so frustrated since obviously I'm ready and she's not!

On a side note, the nurses said my contractions were so perfect they could be in a textbook and there was no way I couldn't be dilating and progressing! 😂
