Figured I would share my positive experience to give someone else hope!

10/8 we had our first ultrasound at 8.5 weeks according to lmp. 2 midwives tried and could not find anything in the sac except a yolk sac measuring 5 weeks, no pole or heartbeat. They advised me it was probably a blighted ovum or missed miscarriage and told me to get hcg draws every few days for the next week then come back for a repeat/viability scan on 10/17.

Hcg levels went from 72,000 to 89,000 to 125,000. Midwife said it wasn’t enough and to expect worst case scenario. Ultrasound tech and OB said sometimes they just rise slower and everything is fine.

Yesterday we had our repeat scan with the ultrasound tech and he found baby right away with a strong heartbeat of 175bpm measuring 8wks4days!!!! Dr and tech said everything looks perfect and gave us a due date of 5/24! I can’t believe the roller coaster we have been on the last week. I am so beyond thankful everything is ok. I won’t officially relax until closer to the 2nd trimester but I’m so happy we saw baby and hear a heartbeat!!

Sorry for the long post I just hope it gives someone else hope going through the similar hell we were.
