From the Swing to the Crib...it is time

Devon - 💙 3 Sweet Boys 💕 Baby Girl Feb 2021💕

Hi mommies.

Starting tomorrow we are planning on transitioning little guy (3.5 months) from his swing to his new crib. Short back story on why we are transitioning him from a swing. So my son is a swing baby. He loves to rock. 😆🤟 And my swing has just always done this for me. He swings to sleep for every nap. He sleeps great. He swings to sleep his first stretch of the night from 6:30-7:30pm until I give him a dream feed at 10:30pm, right before my bedtime, and after a 5oz bottle of breastmilk mixed with some filling formula, I lay him in the pack n play right next to our bed. He sleeps sound here from 10:30pm until 4am where he wakes for a breastfeed, every morning. I'm nervous about laying him down to sleep still/not rocking and I always have because he has always hated his bassinet that he has slept in since birth. Common story that we all hear, once he hits the mattress, still, boom, he is awake. No matter how tired.

We have bought a new baby matress and moved our crib into our room in the far corner. My husband will be home tomorrow so we are 100% dedicated to making this transition starting tomorrow. Whatever it takes. For naps and bedtime. I foresee a struggle with naps and the first stretch of sleep at night because of our previous routine with the swing... my youngest will be 3 in December so I forget some good tips on sleep transition.

Please drop your tips to help us! I'm very hopeful this will work without having a nightmare sleep regression!!
